When it comes to elevating your life, the changes that need to happen are sometimes, drastic.
However, there are other habits, that, although small and simple, have the ability to make a big impact.
Lucky enough for you, this post outlines the latter.
Here are two habits that will deliver motivation, inspiration, and focus.
Rise 1 Hour Earlier

As a busy mom of three, I know the importance of getting up before the kids.
In the past, there were several years of me getting up as early as 3:45am to get my day started.
It wasn’t easy, but I was highly productive.
However, since birthing my third child, it has been extremely difficult to wake up earlier.
This choice has left me tired, frustrated, and all over the place.
Spoiler alert: I highly don’t recommend waking up at the same time as your kid(s).
Of course, you don’t have to wake up at an extreme time such as my 3:45am days.
Rising just one hour before you usually do will give you the opportunity to set the tone of your day.
Remember that goal you made to read, meditate, write down your gratitude list, or study the Bible?
Well, waking up earlier will give you the opportunity to make it happen.
So, set your alarm one hour earlier, and be sure to wake up when sounds, buttercup!
Eat Your First Meal Earlier

The human body is magnificently complex, and requires plenty of energy to sustain it.
It’s safe to say that many people undereat.
This is partly due to being uninformed and misinformation.
Check out this calorie calculator to see how many calories your body truly needs!
For my specific body and weight loss goals, I need about 1,800 calories per day and 170g of protein in order for my body to perform at its best.
Remember when I suggested waking up earlier?
The same applies to eating your first meal of the day.
My first meal used to be eaten at 10am, and towards the end of the day, I wondered how on earth I would be able to give my body the fuel it needed, before bedtime.
Currently, I eat my first meal at 7am and it has made a tremendous difference.
By eating at 10am, my meals felt all over the place. This new routine helps my meals be evenly spaced out and there’s more of a natural flow within my day.
So, if you find yourself inconsistent with your nutrition throughout the day. try having your first meal 1-2 hours earlier and let me know how it goes!
