When The Scale Won’t Move

Today is the day where I can thank myself for not giving up.

Today is the day where I’m thankful I didn’t allow my feelings of disappointment from the scale, to deter me.

I’m thankful that I continued to go forward and put one foot in front of the other.

If you haven’t caught my gist yet, I’m talking about all the times I’ve stepped on the scale only to see the same numbers I saw before I started my journey; heck, sometimes the numbers read even higher.

“But, I’m doing the work.”

“What am I doing wrong?”

“How come I’m not losing any weight!”

We all face those questions from time to time.

But, be encouraged!

My proof that the work is working speaks volume!

I know, not seeing the results you are working extremely hard for, hurts.

It’s a pain in the behind, actually.

If it’s anyone who gets it, it’s me.

…Because it’s taken a good 4 months to be proud of my progress.

Of course, I was always proud of the fact that I even changed my lifestyle for the better (again!), but truthfully, I wanted to visually see the results I was/am aiming for.

But again, I’m glad I pushed forward anyway!

I hope you do the same.

This post isn’t a how-to guide for when the scale won’t move (if you’re looking for that post, it can be found here), but rather, encouragement for the weary, tired, and fed up with weight loss.

As long as you are doing all the right things, the weight will come off.

Just keep going and don’t limit weight loss to just the number on the scale.

Take my side by side photo above, for instance.

I’m the exact same weight in both photos, but I lost a lot of inches everywhere!

Weight and fat loss can be measured in many different ways. I get into that on this post.

My point is, as long as you work hard to be healthy, every single day, even in the midst of slip ups, the progress will come.

Push forward!
